Biovision was founded in 1998 by Swiss entomologist and Right Livelihood Award laureate Hans Rudolf Herren. For our medium-sized, well-positioned NGO, we are looking for a committed personality as 

PROGRAMME MANAGER INTERNATIONAL PARTNERSHIPS (80-100%)

(Maternity Leave Cover from July 2026 until January 2027)

In this role, you will contribute significantly to the activities of the International Partnerships team and ensure a seamless continuation of the Programme Managers’ work. Your main tasks include:

  • Management, coordination and further development of a portfolio of projects and programmes in Sub-Saharan Africa, including collaboration with other departments and related processes

  • Country lead Kenya, topical lead for environmental topics, and key account for the International Centre of Insect Physiology and Ecology (icipe)

  • Management and coordination of activities related to the global dissemination of knowledge generated through projects and programmes

  • Contribution to the development of new project, programme, and collaboration models for the global scaling of agroecological best practices from our project and programme portfolio

  • Leading the Strategic Initiatives Learning Communities (SILC) for the thematic Areas “Development of agroecological production systems / Research” and “Dissemination of agroecological knowledge”

  • Providing feedback and support across the entire department

  • Participation in cross departmental tasks as required
  • Relationship management, networking, representation at events and conferences

We are looking for a dynamic and motivated team player with the following qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in natural sciences, agronomy or similar

  • At least 5 years of professional experience with a focus on sustainable agriculture, agroecology, nature conservation, or similar fields; experience in the tropics is an advantage

  • Experience in project and programme management

  • Strong analytical, synthesis, conceptual and presentation skills 

  • Computer skills in standard Office applications

  • Proficiency in English, very good command (oral and written) of German (B1);

  • Swiss passport or residence permit C / B.

We offer a challenging position in a dynamic team and an innovative NGO with an annual salary between CHF 100,400 and CHF 110,400, adequate social security and a centrally located workplace in Zurich.
